Large woodblock kawaraban broadside pictorially depicting the entrance of Perry's Black Ship squadron into Edo Bay. Two sheets joined, 16x24 1/2 inches overall with two separately printed informational attachments pasted to the lower margin measuring 7 3/4x10 3/4 inches each; original folds, minor edge wear and scattered light stains but generally very fine in style and condition. Japan, circa 1853
